Educational Background
2013 | Ph.D., Materials Science & Engineering, Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois |
2007 | B.S., Materials Science, Fudan University, Shanghai, People's Republic of China |
Research Objectives and Approach
- Microscopy characterization of amorphous functional oxide materials aiming at applications in transparent conducting oxides used for flat-panel displays, photovoltaic devices and light-emitting diodes (LED) and the exploration of the correlation between the microstructure and the properties of the materials fabricated by various deposition methods including atomic layer deposition, pulsed laser deposition and etc.
- Short-range order and medium-range order in various amorphous materials (e.g. carbon based materials applied in solar cells) by reduced density function analysis of electron diffraction and scanning transmission fluctuation electron microscopy..
- Kinetics and thermodynamics in nucleation and grain growth of amorphous oxide materials under impact of strain/stress field by in-situ TEM.
